KATE TANEY BILLINGSLEY is an actor, playwright and teaching-artist. Kate's most recent film credits include: Notes On Complexity (dir. by Christina Kallas), Outen the Light (dir. by Chelsea Lockie) and Into the Bardo, which Kate wrote and acted in, in collaboration with the Cabin Collective Studio, along with short films, The Hereafter, The Lucky Ones and The Lady of Avalon. As playwright, Kate’s full-length, American Rot premiered at LaMaMa ETC, directed by Estelle Parsons in 2025. Kate is a Lifetime member of the Actors Studio and received the National Judicial College’s Award for Justice and Service and The Alex Haley Award for Race and Reconciliation.
